The Monthind Group has always been committed to supporting local communities and aiding charities where possible, and 2023 has been an exemplary example of this.
During this year Monthind has remained a long supporter of our corporate charity partner, Little Havens, which is an amazing charity that provides specialist care and support for babies, children, and young people living with complex or incurable conditions, from Essex and the surrounding boroughs. Monthind contributes towards this incredible cause by raising money internally with regular fundraising incentives, such as a recently held bake-off at our head office in Colchester, where the team entered delicious baked goods into the competition and had a dress-down incentive. We also sponsor and participate in various golf days and fantastic events held by the charity throughout the year.
Sister company, Atkins Gregory recently took part in the ‘Johnny Martin Charity Golf Day’ which raised over £13,500.00! The money was split between two charities: The Resuscitation Council (RCUK), and The Royal Brompton and Harefield Charitable Trust.
We are extremely proud to tell you that these efforts are not confined to us as an organisation, but that The Monthind Group employs a network of remarkable individuals who go the extra mile to contribute towards raising money for other incredible charities. This year Director, Tony Felgate, took part in the 50 Ultra Challenge raising funds for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), Business Manager, Paul Hilton, ran 26.6 miles in aid of Prostate Cancer UK, Account Manager, Warren Lee, joined in with Movember, and Business Manager Richard Angelo and Contract Manager, Jo Howlett took part in the Race for Life for Cancer Research!
Servicing East of England means that we are keen to show our support to our local communities and businesses. This year provided us with many opportunities to do this, such as allowing our sister company, Atkins Gregory, to sponsor the ladies’ competition at Nene Park Golf Club for the 3rd year, and by sponsoring two barrels of beer at the Peterborough Beer Festival in August.
In addition to this, Monthind made the decision to continue showing its support to the country’s wildlife by extending its gold corporate membership with the Essex Wildlife Trust. This support helps the trust to work towards its mission and achieve amazing results like restoring damaged habitats, bringing previously discarded areas back to life, and protecting endangered species both on land and at sea.
As 2023 draws to a close and we reflect on the incredible efforts The Monthind Group and our fantastic team have made this year, we prepare to embrace 2024 with continued dedication and commitment to being an organisation that endeavours to actively support its local communities and these magnificent causes.
