Monthind Clean Limited is delighted to sponsor the 2026 Ipswich Book Festival, which promises to bring an exciting weekend of books, ideas and creativity to Ipswich town centre from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October. The company’s connection to the festival makes this partnership particularly special, as Monthind Director Tony Felgate is one of its founders and remains incredibly passionate about its positive impact. Monthind is proud to help the festival grow, reach new audiences and inspire even more people across the community to discover the joy of reading.
With 2026 designated the National Year of Reading, Monthind is delighted to support an event that champions literacy and encourages people of all ages to discover the enjoyment and lifelong value of reading.
This year’s theme, ‘More Than Words’, celebrates books that move, connect and transform us. The festival will explore how stories, information and ideas can reach beyond the page — inspiring action, sparking emotion, creating connections and challenging the status quo.
Across more than 55 events at town-centre venues, the programme will bring together bestselling authors, broadcasters, historians, illustrators, poets and performers. Visitors can choose from free children’s activities, author talks, creative writing workshops, craft sessions and ticketed events covering fiction, history, natural history, art, music and memoir, as well as discussions on subjects including dyslexia and dementia. Sunday evening’s headline event will feature journalist and broadcaster Janet Street-Porter discussing her book Baggage: My Childhood.
With Larking Gowen Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors as the festival’s Principal Sponsor, the event is set to be a highlight of Ipswich’s cultural calendar. Whether discovering a new favourite author, joining a workshop, listening to an inspiring conversation or taking part in a hands-on activity, festivalgoers can look forward to a confident, curious and independent celebration designed to spark new interests and bring people together.
