Trauma cleaning
We have a strong reputation for delivering safe, professional, and discreet trauma cleaning services in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
Our team of trauma cleaning operatives are professionally trained to handle biohazard levels from 1 to 4, and receive ongoing training to ensure that they’re able to safely remove biohazard waste from trauma scenes, and decontaminate the area where the incident involved.
Our team operates in the same professional way, regardless of how big the task is, whether it’s trauma cleaning in a hospital or the scene of a major crime or accident.
Whenever an incident involving a biohazard occurs on your premises, it’s important to get it cleaned up quickly. At Monthind, we can remove biohazards and decontaminate an area quickly and efficiently.
Trauma cleaning – sometimes known as biohazard remediation or forensic cleaning – is an extremely specialist cleaning service that involves the safe removal and decontamination of scenes involving death, trauma or other harmful contaminants.
Trauma cleaning covers a wide range of biohazards, including:
First, we’ll assess the trauma scene to ensure the safety of anyone who might come in contact with the affected area. We’ll assess the area that involves trauma and set up the boundaries of the area that needs to be cleaned.
We will remove all biohazard material, as well as any non-static items that may have been contaminated but can’t be cleaned. We will then thoroughly clean the area to remove any visible traces. The final step is to use pharmaceutical-grade disinfectant to ensure the area is safe and won’t cause harm to anyone.
Before we re-open an area where there’s been a trauma scene to the public, a team leader will carry out an audit to test and ensure that we have completed our work correctly to ensure that it’s safe.

Each trauma scene undergoes an assessment to identify the biohazards, and we will plan the clean and build a checklist based on what we find.
Any materials that can absorb biohazard waste, such as curtains, carpets, furniture and drywall, will be removed and safely disposed of, as they are unable to be properly disinfected.
We have a multi-step cleaning process which includes removing any physical trauma debris, then using industry-grade disinfectants and deep cleaning the area. We then disinfect for a second time and complete an audit to determine that the area is safe.
We are calm, sensitive and discreet. Our trauma cleaning teams are open and transparent with any persons present, and will work alongside police family liaisons as well as any family and friends involved, to ensure we don’t cause any further distress. Our work is carried out with the utmost empathy and each case is treated on an individual basis.
Our staff don’t have any training in this, but have access to a wellbeing helpline.
We always aim to respond within 24 hours.
Each trauma cleanup is on a case-by-case basis, and we will give you an estimated time before we start work, although, of course, it can run over depending on the severity of the case.
