How do you ensure all traces of biohazards are removed?
Each trauma scene undergoes an assessment to identify the biohazards, and we will plan the clean and build a checklist based on what we find.
Any materials that can absorb biohazard waste, such as curtains, carpets, furniture and drywall, will be removed and safely disposed of, as they are unable to be properly disinfected.
We have a multi-step cleaning process which includes removing any physical trauma debris, then using industry-grade disinfectants and deep cleaning the area. We then disinfect for a second time and complete an audit to determine that the area is safe.
How do you approach trauma scenes where family members are present or involved?
We are calm, sensitive and discreet. Our trauma cleaning teams are open and transparent with any persons present, and will work alongside police family liaisons as well as any family and friends involved, to ensure we don’t cause any further distress. Our work is carried out with the utmost empathy and each case is treated on an individual basis.
Do staff have training on how to handle emotional or traumatic situations?
Our staff don’t have any training in this, but have access to a wellbeing helpline.

How long does trauma cleaning take?
