Monthind’s relationship with Ipswich Golf Club began in the year 2000 when the committee decided to engage contract cleaners to look after the cleaning of the club. Tenders were put out and Monthind were successful in securing the first commercial cleaning contract by offering a ‘hands on’ approach, something we are proud to promote in every contract we hold.
At present Monthind clean the entrance ramp, lounge and casual bar, the foyer, ladies and gentlemen’s changing rooms, toilets and showers, first floor offices and committee rooms, basement level corridor and locker room, 2 outside toilets and a remote toilet on the 10th hole accessed by buggy. We also provide consumables, air fresheners and sanitary bins. Additional cleaning is undertaken on an ad hoc basis with Julie Abbott, Contracts Manager on hand for any day to day queries.
This contract is not without its challenges, as the age of the clubhouse building and its interior prove to be challenging at times, but working closely with Neill Ellice, Club General Manager, and his team, we have retained the contract for the last 12 years and developed an excellent relationship with them.
Monthind operatives work at the club 7 days a week, 364 days a year cleaning first thing in the morning in preparation for the steady stream of golfers ready to enjoy their round of golf. Our operatives also open up the clubhouse every morning – a measure of the trust Ipswich Golf Club have in our staff and an example of the additional services provided by Monthind.
