East Anglia Schools Trust is an academy partnership of Cliff Park Infant and Cliff Park Junior Schools. Both schools are located on the same site in Gorleston-on-Sea, have respective rolls of 270 and 360 children, and together make the largest primary school in Norfolk.
The Problem
All the schools of the East Anglia Trust were a group of one and two storey buildings, equipped with heavily glazed windows that required cleaning inside and out three times a year.

Our Q&A with Martin Steele, Facilities Manager, East Anglia Schools.
Q: What contract cleaning or facilities management challenge did you seek resolution for by employing the services of Monthind Clean?
A: We needed a reliable and professional company to clean the windows. We’ve found in the past that contractors often miss a number of windows and do not do a thorough job. Because we have the windows cleaned three times a year, we need to be confident that they have been done properly.
Q: What, in your experience, sets Monthind apart from its competitors?
A: Monthind provides a very professional service. Although it’s a large organisation, you’re never ‘just a customer’. I can’t fault the work of the window cleaners, but I guess the administrative processes set it apart for me. I don’t have to worry about scheduling the cleans, as Monthind contacts me at the beginning of the year with proposed dates for that academic year (which are always out of term-time, to ensure no children are on-site).
Q: What, if anything, do you find outstanding about the service Monthind provides you with?
A: The quality of the clean, the admin, and the attention to detail for Health and Safety. Monthind takes care of all of it and provides me with professional risk assessments, covering working at height, use of ladders etc.
Q: If there have been any problems at any time, throughout the contract, how were they resolved? What, if anything, could have been done better?
A: There have never been any problems, but I am confident that if there were, they would be resolved immediately and to my satisfaction. The cleans are scheduled well in advance, and the team always turns up on time. They get on with the job, always adhere to the Safe Systems of Work, and never leave a mess. I honestly can’t think of anything they could do better.
Q: Would you recommend Monthind to other potential customers? Why?
A: Most definitely. Monthind are not the cheapest window cleaning contract provider in the area, but I believe they do represent the best value for money. I am always delighted with the quality of their work, they never leave any mess (inside or out), and even wipe the windowsills, which is unfortunately quite rare nowadays. I have recommended Monthind to other potential customers and will continue to do so.
